Beckley and beyond
After making a delivery to Tamarack Marketplace ….decided to have a fun day exploring Beckley and beyond Visit Southern West Virginia en route home.
- Coffee stop at The Chocolate Moose & tried the Churro latte, yum!
- Wander around West Virginia University Institute of Technology campus
- Found a super cool knitted tree! Or maybe it is crochet??
- Love the Rising Cardinal sculpture downtown
- Lunch at Black Circle Bistro was fantastic! Burger on special, loaded macaroni salad, French fries ordered simply to try the Appalachian Goddess dressing (which is beyond amazing) and then couldn’t decide whether to get a choc chip cookie or oatmeal crème pie so got BOTH!
- Enjoyed the stunning views and a walk & wander from Grandview Overlook at New River Gorge National Park and Preserve
- Decided to detour over to Lake Stephens to see their new West Virginia Tourism Almost Heaven swing - what a nice lake & area that I had never heard of.
- Ice cream for dinner at The Frozen Barn
- Quick road pull-off at Summersville Lake’s new State Park swing (to be honest seems quite an odd location at the end of a construction site lot when there is so many other beautiful views of the actual lake)
